About

A Bunch of Serious Fools!

Madrock Theatre Troupe was established in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador in 2012.  It is made up of a group of wonderful volunteer actors and multi-talented artisans.  Since first established,  the troupe has produced and performed in the Newfoundland and Labrador Comedy "How's About a Time," written by Nick Mercer of Gander with family roots in Bay Roberts, NL.

“How’s About a Time” is staged for four to five weeks during the summer months of July and August each year.  It has become extremely popular and performed to repeated sold-out audiences.

In November of 2018, the troupe produced and presented two shows of Al Pittman’s West Moon, directed by Michelle Gosse-Dove.  In December 2019, the troupe led the production of “As Loved Our Fathers,” by Tom Cahill, also under the direction of Michelle Gosse-Dove.

MadRock Theatre Troupe is growing in membership and while composed of people with great enthusiasm for the arts, is constantly seeking hidden talent.

As a local community theatre group with membership in the Newfoundland and Labrador Drama Society, we hope to continue with our summer season of “How’s About a Time” and also produce two full-length plays per year as well as conduct and perform family specials for the holiday season.

Serious fools are welcome!
